Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bug Hill (D1358) Woldingham which extends from its junction with Woldingham Road (C72) to northward for a distance of 250m.
Alternative Route – Bug Hill (D1358), Leas Road (D1348), Redvers Road (D1348), Westhall Road (B270), Narrow Lane (D1357), Succombs Hill (D1390), Woldingham Road (C72) and Bug Hill (D1358) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 9 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 June 2024. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
